FAIRBANKS, AK - KFXF FOX 7 in Fairbanks announced their 2009-10 college hockey TV schedule today. FOX 7's schedule will feature 14 games involving the Alaska Nanooks (11 road, three home). The schedule also includes a slate of 10 CCHA regular-season and playoff games. The entire TV package is dubbed the Auto Service Company Toyota CCHA Game of the Week.
With the exception of the home contests, most games will air live in Fairbanks. In a working arrangement FOX 7 has with GCI Cable, most of the Alaska Hockey TV schedule will also air statewide on GCI's network community billboard channel.
FOX 7 has secured regional and national exposure for the Nanooks this season as Fox Sports Plus will broadcast the January 15 Alaska @ Michigan road game nationally. The January 16 game vs Michigan and February 6 game against Michigan State will also be televised regionally on COMCAST Local out of the Detroit Metropolitan area.
